As the evening of Fashion Heals fast approaches, we took the time to uncover some personal stories of some of the people who will make the night of February 7th, 2018 go down without a hitch. Pruyn Haskins, is the Managing Director at Scotiabank, the platinum sponsor of 2018’s Fashion Heals.

Haskins shared with us what supporting SickKids Hospital through Fashion Heals means to him:

“When I think of SickKids, I remember my first Christmas with my newborn twins. My wife and I rushed to SickKids on Christmas Eve with two very sick boys. We were treated quickly by staff and spent the night at the hospital, each in a chair beside our children. I remember the friendly staff that had presents for each child, and the firemen who arrived with stuffed animals. We were overcome with a strong sense of community, and struck by how caring everyone was. We realized that day that SickKids is a very special institution and we’ve been supporters of the hospital every year since then. I am currently a member of the Campaign Cabinet and fortunate to volunteer my time to a hospital that provides young people with the treatments they need to live long and fulfilling lives. Supporting organizations like SickKids is an investment in the community. Young people are our future scholars, citizens and leaders.”
